Assistant Technical Manager – Chemical Laboratory

The Assistant Technical Manager provides technical leadership and support to laboratory teams, ensuring testing methods and technical information are aligned across laboratories and the management system complies with ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to internal teams and ensure global alignment of testing methods and technical information across laboratories.

• Monitor regulations, buyer programs and standards, and communicate relevant technical updates to laboratory teams.

• Conduct technical audits and internal training; support external audits and follow up on technical findings.

• Coordinate inter-laboratory activities, review and analyze results, and ensure technical consistency.

• Manage technical complaints, investigate issues and make effective decisions to resolve technical problems.

• Lead and support new testing development and R&D projects, driving continuous improvement of laboratory capabilities.

• Ensure the management system is established, implemented and maintained in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025.

Bachelor's degree or above.

At least 6 years of chemical laboratory experience in a consumer testing company, or at least 4 years of experience in chemical technical support.

Experience in testing method development is an advantage.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and drive technical projects.

Fluent in English and able to work independently and effectively under pressure.

Careful, trustworthy and systematic in technical decision-making and laboratory support.
