Mechanical Designer

Job Summary

The Mechanical Designer participates in the engineering, design, and optimization of ventilation products for large-scale, specialized applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough technical understanding of the client's product range.

• Gather all necessary information and requirements for design and drafting.

• Prepare drawings and plans based on internal projects or customer requests, including 3D modeling of parts.

• Understand the operating environment and applications of the products.

• Perform load calculations (welding) for product development.

• Review and analyze existing drawings.

• Identify errors, inconsistencies, or irregularities in current drawings.

• Recommend improvements to existing products.

• Duplicate drawings for each product variation (potentially dozens of variants) and adjust dimensions accordingly.

• Prepare manufacturing drawings and define the necessary production steps, including cost, time, machinery, and material estimates.

• Incorporate welding requirements and procedures (CWB) into existing drawings.

• Review and revise drawings, calculations, and estimates.

• Estimate costs based on drawings and technical specifications.

• Investigate the root causes of mechanical failures and technical issues.

• Collaborate in preparing designed products for production.

• Follow the production process and revise drawings when necessary.

• Attend Teams meetings in English to report on work progress.

• Work relatively independently on tasks that may sometimes be repetitive.

• Contribute to continuous improvement and process control.

Job Requirements

• DEC / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education.

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in mechanical design.

• Knowledge of load calculations for fans.

• Proficiency in CAD, CAM, CAE software and other commonly used computer applications.

• Strong understanding of design and drafting processes and principles.

• Ability to work effectively in a team, with creativity and an innovative mindset.

• Detail-oriented, organized, responsible, and self-motivated.

• Strong interest in technical development and manufacturing.
