Manage and supervise the daily operations of the Engineering Department in accordance with the resort’s standards and guidelines.Supervise, delegate duties and support Engineering team members in the performance of their responsibilities.Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance Programs for resort equipment, guest villas and public areas.Supervise maintenance and repair works and coordinate with external contractors when required.Ensure all fire alarm, firefighting, safety and engineering systems are maintained in good working condition.Manage the Engineering Store, spare parts, materials and inventory, ensuring proper control and efficient usage.Monitor energy and utility consumption and recommend measures to improve energy efficiency and reduce wastage.Monitor the Engineering Department’s budget and expenditures to ensure cost-effective operations.Train and develop Engineering team members and ensure compliance with safety, fire, hygiene and health regulations.Prepare and submit regular reports and coordinate with relevant departments on engineering and maintenance matters.Attend meetings and provide recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Engineering operations.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned and directed by the Director of Engineering

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant field.

• At least four years of experience in a similar position within a luxury hotel or resort.

• International hotel or resort experience is preferred.

• Knowledge of HVAC-R, plumbing, carpentry, electrical engineering and maintenance.

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret written instructions, reports and correspondence.

• Ability to multitask across different engineering and maintenance sections with excellent communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and coordination skills when working with hosts and other departments.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

• Very good command of written and spoken English.

• First aid and/or firefighting certification is preferred.
